A&A Wedding – Santorini 2016
She is from Russia, he is from Iraq, they are so different yet so much alike. Destiny had led them to the Netherlands to meet one another, to become friends, to become lovers. From the moment they said “Hello” there was a spark, the spark that turned their friendship into a love story. A love story that goes on for over 7 years now with the first milestone of “Engagement in Dubai” and next chapter being “Wedding in Santorini”.
Why Santorini? When we thought about our wedding we knew it will be abroad and when we saw the magnificent view of Santorini caldera we stopped searching for the wedding location and started searching for a wedding planner.
Brigitte was our first wedding planner that we had visited and obviously the last. It was an immediate click. Communicating with her was easy, she has a lot of connections and experience. She is confident in her advice and that definitely comforts in all the wedding preparation madness. Without visiting Santorini once, we felt as everything was under control. When we had arrived to Santorini couple of days before the wedding, we met all the vendors and finalized last arrangements without worry.
Our wedding was spread over three days. Day 1 – “Meet & Greet” boat trip around Santorini caldera with all our guests. Some people met each other for the first time and it was an excellent way to break the ice. Everyone had so much fun: we swam, we drank, we had BBQ, and of all we chat and laughed. Day 2 – was the day of our wedding ceremony that was scheduled in late afternoon. We completely left all organizational activities to Brigitte and it allowed us to peacefully prepare for the wedding with bridesmaids and groomsmen. When we arrived at the venue, everything looked so chic. It is hard to describe the way our wedding ceremony and the reception felt, it was like a dream. The lunch on Day 3 brought us slightly back to reality. We have met most of our guests for a traditional Greek food, where everyone once again could see each other and share experiences. Delicious lunch with the beautiful view of Aegean sea.
Our wedding turned out to be the most beautiful, the most heartwarming moment in our life. We will cherish these memories forever! We are ever grateful to Brigitte for helping realize our dream wedding.
